Dubai’s Indian Business Leaders Applaud India’s 2025 Union Budget for Bold Reforms and Future-Driven Vision

The Indian business community in Dubai has welcomed the 2025 Union Budget with enthusiasm, calling it a progressive blueprint for sustainable growth and inclusive development.

Sahitya Chaturvedi, Secretary General of the Indian Business and Professional Council (IBPC) Dubai, commended the budget for aligning closely with India’s long-term vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. “It strikes a strong balance between near-term needs and long-range targets,” he noted, praising the government’s focus on agriculture, MSMEs, and support for the middle class. From Dubai’s strategic perspective, Chaturvedi sees high export potential for Indian sectors like electronics, textiles, handlooms, and organic products—particularly among the diaspora and West Asian markets. “The push for localized manufacturing and district-based production continues to energize domestic industries,” he added.

Echoing this optimism, Jai Prakash Agarwal, Vice Chairman of the ICAI (Dubai Chapter), highlighted the budget’s pivotal reforms in the insurance space. “Easing FDI norms is a major leap forward to boost insurance penetration in India, bringing it closer to global benchmarks,” he said. Agarwal also lauded the raised tax exemption limit to ₹12 lakhs, calling it a thoughtful move that will stimulate both household consumption and capital investments.

Overall, the Indian business diaspora in the UAE sees the 2025 Union Budget as a robust and visionary framework that supports India’s trajectory toward becoming a ₹47 trillion economy by 2047. With its blend of immediate economic relief and far-reaching structural reforms, the budget is being celebrated as a timely and transformative step in India’s development journey.
